Throughout the year, Effingham Area Right to Life hosts and participates in a variety of events that educate, inspire, and unite our community in support of the sanctity of every human life. Whether through prayer, fellowship, advocacy, or service, each event offers an opportunity to learn more, get involved, and make a difference.
Annual Pro-Life Breakfast
Annual pro-life breakfast (Sausage, eggs, pancakes, homemade breads, donuts, and drinks. Held at the Teutopolis Banquet Hall, in Teutopolis, IL. Free-will donation. This is our annual fundraiser breakfast, and silent auction event to raise funds for EARTL. These funds are then used to help support local and regional organizations that support LIFE, including The Family Life Center, El Shaddai Maternity Home, Biking for Babies, and many more.

Illinois March for Life
We travel annualy in March to Springfield, IL for the Illinois March for Life and Mass with the Bishop. This is a great opportunity for our local group to show our support.

National Day of Prayer for Life
September 12, at 9:00am at the Teutopolis Knights of Columbus Memorial to the Unborn, located in front of the Seminary Tower at 210 S. Pearl Street in Teutopolis. Coffee and donuts will be served immediately following.
Join us in prayer as we remember the lives lost to abortion and affirm the sacredness and dignity of every human life. In case of rain, the service will be held inside the Banquet Hall.
Augus 1-7, 2026Effingham County Fair
Part of our mission is to educate, and having a booth at the Effingham County Fair enables us to share our mission and educatational materials with our community. We’ll be set up in the Schuetzenfest Building from Noon-8pm each day. Stop by to see us!
National Day of Remembrance
for Aborted Children
September 12 at 9:00amJuneWe partner with local churches and gather at St. Francis Church in Teutopolis, IL, to pray and celebrate Mass on the National Day of Prayer for Life.
Annual Life Chain is held the first Sunday of October. Locally, the event is held at Sacred Heart Church in Effingham, Illinois. We gather in the Parish Center for a short prayer before lining the corners of Henrietta and Fayette Avenue as we pray for life. Immediately following the one-hour life chain, we return to the Parish Center for refreshments and fellowship.

OctoberWe gather for Mass at a local Catholic church (all faiths welcome) and then meet for refreshments and updates on legislation that pertains to the support of life and other key issues affecting our mission.
